Headshot- isn’t that kind of a funny term?  We know what it means, but still.  It sounds somewhat painful.  I promise people, we try to make photography a fun experience and not painful!

This session was fun for me, and hopefully for Linnie as she was in need of some headshots for an upcoming art exhibit she will be featured in (opens this Friday!).  We kept things to a simple color scheme, and our faux chocolate wall is great for a more traditional portrait look.  L’s brilliant blue eyes just sparkled and I think she looks stunning in both color and black and white (and in real life too!). Linnie is an amazing artist- you can check out her artwork here.

Fairbanks Orthodontics is in the process of creating a fresh new look for their website and needed some new images to showcase their wonderful work. I have photographed their staff and office in the past, and was excited for the opportunity to work with them once again in capturing some fabulous headshots of the beautiful T. She has such an amazing, natural smile.  I am looking forward to an upcoming session to photograph Dr. Fairbanks with his staff.  I highly recommend Fairbanks Orthodontics if you are in the market for an Orthodontist– their entire staff is wonderful to work with and they do fabulous work.

My goal with Debbie was to capture some playful, not too serious and authentic headshots for her website. Debbie is an amazing writer and has authored several young adult fiction stories that are filled with her quirky sense of humor and awesome storytelling abilities. Debbie also happens to be one of my beautiful sisters! (I can’t exactly take credit for that, but I will be proud to say it!) After a successful career as a marketing director for a national corporation she became a mother to four children and now has two additional teenagers in her care. “Writer By Night” or “Post Lunchtime” or “whenever she can squeeze a little time in” to write is how she gets it all done. This chica manages to fit a workout into 6 of 7 days a week. If she lived closer (she’s in Colorado) I’d have her be my personal trainer and help me get into shape!!

Deb- thanks for coming to the studio and putting up with my load of phony books and goofy jokes!! I can’t wait until you launch your website so I can actually direct people there!! You look MUY fabulosa! ENjoy~

Can you believe she is 50 years old…I didn’t! My beautiful neighbor L. decided to surprise her hubby for Father’s Day/ Birthday with a classy photo session that he would never suspect. I think the pictures turned out great- D. you are one lucky guy!
