Striking. Pensive.  Sharp shooter.  Stunning green eyes.  Soldier.  Guarded.  Adventurous.  Patriotic.

{Just a few things that come to mind after meeting the lovely Miss T. and photographing her post-high school session before she leaves for basic training.}

This session was fabulous fun!  T. and her Mother trusted me as I led them through the countryside to find the perfect setting for our session.  The early evening light was warm and golden.  T. was game for some fun shots and could flash a sultry glance at the drop of a hat.  Some of my favorite shots are out in the tall grass- the setting was just perfect to go along with her expression and T’s adorable mother helped us out with a little off-camera flash and reflector assistance.  We wrapped up the session at the studio for a nice portrait of T. in her National Guard uniform.  I felt truly honored to capture this special portrait, as she is following in her father’s footsteps in serving our country.

Once all of the photos were polished up and ready for presentation, T. and her mother came to the studio again to see the collection for the first time.  This 24″x36″ custom collage design was a collaborative effort based on some things that T. loves, mixed with favorite images from our session.  We included the lyrics to the song, “God Bless America” as well as a couple of hidden initials within the texture images.  This is the perfect example of how we love to create something truly unique and custom for our clients.   It is on schedule to arrive Monday and I can hardly wait to present it to them!

We have paired it with this 20″x30″ canvas portrait & 8×10 print to be displayed next to her father’s portrait in uniform.

And just a few pictures that you can see more closely . . . isn’t she stunning?

These amazingly talented, athletic, good-looking kids are growing up right before my eyes! This is the third time I have had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the M. Family, and each time is always a treat. They are ALL so photogenic that they just cannot take a bad picture.

Can you believe I have yet another beautiful senior girl who I get to photograph and have an absolute ball with!
R. you never fail to blow me away with your natural ability to ROCK a photo session- you look gorgeous! Thanks again for trusting me as your photographer to capture this special moment in your life!

P.S. Girls who read a ton and mess around with lap-tops are the coolest!

-look away Justin- look away!

Wow…is all I can say!!! These are some of my favorite images of our lovely assistant C. who will be graduating from American Fork High School in just a couple of weeks. She has accompanied us on many sessions where she joyfully carried our heavy equipment, held our reflectors, and occasionally calmed crying babies while their parents were having their pictures taken.
C. we wish you the very best as you continue your college experience, and hope you keep up your love for photography!

Love ya girl-

Never let a perfectly good evening with beautiful light go to waste . . . make it count! This session was no exception. The sky glowed with a perfect mix of sunshine and clouds and with a slight breeze in the air we were set! I truly enjoyed capturing these images of the beautiful and soon-to-be high school graduate Amanda.

And to our lovely model of the evening, I’m so glad we were able to get acquainted quickly. I love learning more about the people I am photographing- what makes you happy, what brings you joy, who you are on the inside. I’m glad you didn’t hold back- you’ve got some major modeling skills not to mention a truly genuine quality about you. Thanks for sharing that with me- I am thrilled with the many images in your collection. Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! Make it count!

[Beautiful, beautiful girl, wouldn't you agree?]

What a blast this session was! I am proud to say that C. is my nephew. I’ve taken plenty of pictures of him over the years- though there was that stage where he avoided having his photo taken like the plague! (Fortunately it only lasted about 10 years). :)

Well, I’m amazed at how he’s grown up, has become an accomplished JR ROTC cadet with plans for a career in the US Air Force, is a dedicated student and talented musician. Wow! It was so fun to capture his personality and favorite pursuits all in one session.

C- enjoy the sneak peak . . . and I can’t wait to hear how your scholarship interview went! You’re an impressive young man- keep up the great work!

PS- You look awesome in uniform!

WooHoo- I love these pictures! A. you were made for the runway, you look so FABULOUS! Thank you so much for letting me use my artistic license during your session, and just going with my crazy flow! You were so willing to put on wild eyelashes, tease out your hair, and give me just the right look to pull off this “high-fashioned” shoot. Oh, and a major thanks to my stylist L.- you surely know how to glam-up a gal!

This picture reminds me that life is wonderful:

Life isn’t what you always expect it to be.
Some surprises include may having a family full of boys.
Even teenage boys are willing to smile for the camera once in a while, (especially if lunch at Winger’s is to follow the session!)
November weather isn’t always bitter cold.
Sometimes we’re together at just the right time . . . never take that one for granted.

To the T. family- you are fabulous. So glad you planned for this session and so glad the weather and the boys cooperated! Little H- you’re the life of the party . . . good thing you’ve got three big brothers to help you burn off some of your energy! I can’t wait for you to see your collection of images and memories from our session . . . in the meanwhile, enjoy your sneak peak!
