This stunningly beautiful family with three daughters made for a really fun shoot and a really difficult time choosing my favorites. If I could post 30, I would, believe me. The urban location set the scene, and the family arrived with fun personalities, happy smiles and great wardrobe colors & textures.

[R family- it was truly my privilege to capture these images for you. I am so glad to become acquainted with your family! There are many images from your session that almost took my breath away . . . I can only say thank you for trusting me as your photographer!]

In search of the perfect amount of fall color, I scoped out “leaf quality and saturation” around the valley for about an hour the day of this shoot. I knew the family was planning to wear red, so I really wanted reds & gold vibrant leaves as a background. Believe it or not, such leaves were hard to come by!! Alas, I found the place up American Fork Canyon and we were able to use every bit of gorgeous light that evening for a fun family session. You may recognize this beautiful bunch from a newborn session (blogged on studiocharm) earlier this summer.

[ah . . . can you hear the laughter and the sound of crunching leaves? A heartfelt thanks to the B. family for allowing me to document your family in such a lovely place. I am grateful to know you.]

Has anyone ever told you that you look like Elder Uchtdorf? I am so glad that I finally got to take your business head shots- or your funeral program portrait. Ha ha, just kidding! Thank you again for all that you did to help with the grand opening of the studio. Those dinosaurs would have never moved themselves. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful father who is equally as handsome- thanks for the great genes!

One of my FAVORITE family sessions of the year– the kind where the stars seem to line up in my favor, and the family was so fun and relaxed (kids were fed and well-rested), the mom had carefully planned out the clothing selections for just the right amount of matching (in other words, they didn’t look like quintuplets), the lighting was great, the weather was just right . . . and here they are:

[we ended the session with a little spontaneous game of hopscotch. The kids had never played, and I happened to have a lucky piece of sidewalk chalk in my camera bag "just in case." It was a lot of fun!!]

You may recognize the two girls from this session as two of our fairies from our Storybook Canvases line. Here is a link to images of their custom artwork on our sister website:

Thanks L. family for once again choosing me to photograph your beautiful family- I am so glad to know you and to have had multiple opportunities to work with you over the years!!

Another gorgeous fall day with great weather, and a beautiful photogenic family.
B. Family you looked fabulous- even with mom sick with bronchitis ( I wish I looked that great when I was under the weather!) Little E. was so sweet even when she was squirming, and running out of the shot. Luckily we had “quackers” and some trusty candy. I still think we got some great shots, and I am so glad to have captured those precious candid moments on the railroad tracks…priceless.

Happy Halloween!
