Glamour Shots a la Deb

December 31, 2008

Napoleon Dynamite- did you get it? This is my beautiful younger sister Amy who I had to beg to come down to the studio and have a quick session. She was over on New Years babysitting my kids while I was on a shoot, and when I returned I had to sneak a couple of shots of her. You are gorgeous sis- thanks for all your help with my kids- I owe you.

Thank you so much H. Family for letting me come to your home and do a lifestyle photo session. Your home is so welcoming, and I loved taking your pictures in front of your breathtaking christmas tree. Your kids are hilarious, and I have never laughed so hard when “Korea” threw that snow at his siblings. I hope you enjoyed the snow fight as much as I did capturing it.

This is my beautiful sister C. who pulls off a pant suit unlike anybody I know! She is absolutely gorgeous- and asked me to take some corporate head shots for her new job. We added her son in some of the shots, and I love the sweet relationship caught between the two of them. Good luck C. in your new career path.

My nephew S. is the stylish skater boy I know, and I wanted to capture him in his cool skater element. I loved the innocence yet hard appeal of some of his photographs, that I made him a poster for his room. I think every eight year old boy deserves his own personalized poster- I love you S.!

My daughter was so jealous of her cousins poster that I had to make her one as well (even though she doesn’t really skateboard) She loved it!

You could say this was my first time really using the studio to photograph MY children, and for the most part they did really well. As a photographer it sometimes seems like you never have enough time- or energy for your own kids, so I am really glad that I captured my munchkins at this stage in their lives. My daughter was so great to work with, and so cute posing herself in different ways. My son on the other hand… you could say it took a lot of bribing, and “please, it’s for Daddy!”

Thanks Amy for the customized overlay I used on each of these pics- I love it!

All I can say is “WHAT A BLAST!” My old high school friends and I all got together last night to have a Christmas party at my place. We told everyone to come in the most fashionable holiday sweaters they could find, and be ready for a night of wine… I mean root beer sampling, and white elephant fun. We missed all of you who couldn’t come, and hope that these pictures (taken by my 6 year old) will make you feel like you were with us in holiday spirit. Happy Holidays.

“HAPPY NEW YEAR!”

“A little too much…ROOT BEER!”

A. were these the cheesiest pictures or what? I think we pulled the whole look off perfectly! Thanks again for all of your help.

I loved when my client/ dear friend A. came through the door of the studio and the first thing she said was “he’s my little sunshine, I love him so much!” Baby L. was such a good little guy during his session, even when he spit up all over mom and marked his territory all over the blankets! Oh, how I love capturing babies!

Thanks A. for letting me capture your little one before he gets any bigger.

We took advantage of the balmy autumn weather and found some great spots in downtown Park City for this senior session.  This was a session for my darling niece who asked me to take her senior pictures.  With a few spare outfits in tow, we went on a great tour of downtown and found plenty of great walls and locations to shoot.  It was a lot of fun, despite having to sheild her from an older man who was trying to take her picture!!  I know she’s beautiful, but hey!!

Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot:

[this one stopped me in my tracks! She looks like a movie star!]

C- You are such a classy, beautiful, bright young woman. You are very impressive in the person you are and your goals for the future. Best of luck to you as you make college decisions and prepare for graduation!! ~Amy
