Yet another fabulous session with some of my favorite clients L. & C. You two seriously need to rethink your day jobs as fire fighters and school teachers, and become fashion models for Vogue Bride magazine! I am so proud of you both, (especially C. who had to wear a tight corset for hours) for keeping up with me, and all of my wild ideas for a Groomal session. I absolutely LOVE these images, and hope you enjoy them as much as I did capturing them the other evening.

D. & M. thanks for always being my greatest fans, and making this marathon session possible-I love you guys! Also, I can’t thank L. & A. enough for being my fabulous lighting assistants- we missed you E.!

[ thanks for letting me use my creative license on this shot- its so funky and dirty! C. you are one HOT elementary school teacher young lady! ]

Thank you L. family for an easy, relaxing, (for me at least), family portrait session. We had perfect light, and great expressions from your two little guys (the twins looked adorable too!). You have such a wonderful family, and Amy and I feel honored to have been trusted with capturing you all at this stage in your lives. You two hang in there- one of these days you will get more than 3 hours of sleep!

Three and six . . . what a great age, and what great fun we had at this family photo session!  C & L wanted their session to have an urban feel (different from the typical family portrait) with a candid, relaxed feel.  They are very adventurous family and love the outdoors, so this location was perfect for a family outing which also happened to be a photo shoot.  Any time children can forget we’re “doing a photo session” and they can truly enjoy the experience and be themselves is my idea of time well spent!  There are a bunch of  photos that I wanted to post, but I thought I’d narrow it down a bit.

Enjoy!  Now for getting some up on the wall . . . I challenge you to make a plan!  You’ll never regret having photos of your family on your walls, I promise. :)

Little one, we’re sure glad you’re here!  You never told us you’d come so quickly.  When your mom called me that sunny afternoon with amazing calmness in her voice, she told me you’d be here in fifteen minutes or so.  And so it was.  I immediately jumped in the car and drove as speedily (and legally) as I could, praying the entire way to the hospital that you’d arrive safe and sound and hoping that I’d have the chance to be there to photograph your birth.  Another call from your mom, “one more push and he’s here.”  I couldn’t push the cars out of my way while at the red light, so I reached for my camera and quickly turned it on and dialed the settings so they’d be set for your arrival.  I parked the car, ran straight to the elevators, on the way to the third floor time stood still for but a moment.  This was the exact moment when you entered this world sweet boy.  I didn’t have the special code, but just as soon as your dad gave it to me I entered your delivery room and immediately began recording your first minutes through my lens.  This was for you, and for your mom and dad.  I feel a deep sense of gratitude for being trusted enough to be part of such an amazing experience– thank you little one (all 9 lbs. 6 oz. of you!).

[p.s.- your pictures are almost ready!]

This beautiful young lady is identified by the love for her music, riding horses, and the lush outdoors. E. you have never looked more confident and mature in your element as you were surrounded by the things that you love.

M. I hope you enjoy these pictures of your children as much as I did capturing them for you forever. You have such a wonderful family, and I feel blessed to have in all in my life.

Can I tell you how nice it was to do a senior session for a guy- it feels like forever since I have done a session for a cool dude!  There is such a different vibe when you have a good-looking, edgy young man, who can pull off “the Look!”

B. your session was a blast, and I appreciate your trust in me as I posed you in front of random places-like under the freeway overpass! Thanks again,

-Kimberly

[ so how many mosquito bites did you get? C. and I were covered in welts! oh well, it was worth it!]

I’m so excited to post pictures of these two beautiful itty bitty babies! E & E arrived early weighing between 3-4 pounds each. They spent their first weeks in the NICU and are now doing well, have doubled their birthweights and get to be snuggled at home. We were thrilled to have them come to the studio as we know their outings are extremely limited.  “Itty” and “Bitty” were complete opposites . . . while one slept the other was determined to be awake.  They took shifts in sleeping, and the following image documents that they did sleep simultaneously for at least 1/125th of a second! (see image 1)

L- you have two beautiful princesses and it was a true privilege to capture them while they’re so itty bitty.  Thank you for trusting us to photograph your precious twins! Your calm and relaxed approach to caring for your daughters during the session really helped things to go smoothly. You deserve one long nap while at least one of your babies is sleeping! Also a special thanks to our baby helpers- L’s mom and sister, and to Kimberly too. It takes a village . . . :) Kimberly will be photographing L’s family soon, on-location. I am excited to see more of these sweethearts!

[so. precious.]

There’s nothing better than a studio session with a fun, energetic, senior girl, all dolled-up for Homecoming night.
B. you were such a natural in front of the camera, and I loved some of the images we captured Sat. morning. I just had to create one of our Tilt Signature Collages* from your session because there were so many great shots of your vibrant personality. Enjoy!

[my favorite one- you look gorgeous!]

L. I think your outfits looked great for your urban/retro family photo shoot. I loved all of the bright colors and fun pattens you chose for your cute family to wear (sorry the girls got mud all over their clothes). Your girls are just too sweet, and you and J. look pretty darn hot in your pictures! Thanks again for an easy-going, fun-filled evening, I thoroughly enjoyed capturing your family at this stage in your lives.
