Eight days old and her radiance is ever present. My connection with this little babe is undeniable as she is my niece and I had the recent privilege of being present at her birth.   It was amazing to be her first photographer outside the whom (you know, ultrasound technicians claim the privilege of being the first). I have always loved babies–and I love birth photography. The ultimate high for me as a photographer is to document a time that will be remembered indefinitely because of cherished photographs.   H’s parent’s (my brother and sister-n-law) brought her to the studio at 8 days old for some snuggly, cozy newborn images.  Enjoy!!

It is astounding to witness how much new babies change in the first few weeks.  I always recommend to clients who want newborn pictures to come to the studio before the babies are 2 weeks old.  A parent of a 6 week old may think they’re scheduling a newborn shoot, but in reality that newborn look dissapears all to quickly.  They’ll end up with beautiful images of
